The Teachers' Retirement Agency works closely with Extra Mile to raise awareness of volunteering opportunities beyond retirement. Extra Mile and the TRA support volunteers who devote their time and expertise freely, to work in some of the poorest schools in West Africa. They work on programmes in Sierra Leone from as little as one week up to a year in duration, continuing to make a massive difference to the lives of so many youngsters and their teachers in one of the most deprived countries in the world.
