LIVE THE RETIREMENT YOU DESERVE
The Teachers' Retirement Agency's (TRA) highly acclaimed "Planning for Retirement" one-day seminar has been supporting teachers for over 30 years.
Our seminars were created to provide a forum for the teaching community to help each other and their families plan for a financially secure and prosperous retirement.
We cover many topics during our seminars, including the Teachers' Pension Scheme, planning for early retirement, estate planning, recent changes to TPS, the impact of the McCloud case, and much more.
Background
The 'Planning for Retirement' one-day course was originally organised by the University of Leeds and consisted of a number of seminars on important aspects of retirement. Following a strategic review, the University decided that all its short courses had to lead to accreditation and unfortunately retirement planning did not fall into this category. As a result, the Teachers' Retirement Agency was formed to take over the administration and delivery of the same course in the early 1990's
THE 1 DAY SEMINAR
The 'Planning for Retirement' seminar addresses the issues important to teachers as they approach retirement. In the morning session, our course leader will provide you with a thought-provoking overview of what one can prepare for and expect in retirement. For most the decision to retire focuses primarily on finances, and as such the afternoon session is dedicated to this area.
The financial speakers are a Chartered firm of highly experienced Teachers Retirement Planning Specialists with many years of working with the education profession.
If you are considering retiring within the next 5 years, please do not leave it too late to attend.
Felicity Starkey, Motcombe School comments: "Thank you for providing an excellent course, the details of which I have passed on to all my staff who are over 50. I wish I had attended one sooner!" and this typifies the feedback we regularly receive.
